Blueskin WB window and door flashing is a self-adhered membrane consisting of an SBS (styrene-butylene-styrene) rubberized asphalt compound which is integrally laminated to a blue engineered film. The membrane is specifically designed to be self-adhered to a prepared substrate. Features include: Application in temperatures as low as -12 deg. C. (10 deg. F.). Excellent adhesion to prepared substrates of concrete, concrete block, primed steel, aluminum mill finish, anodized aluminum, galvanized metal, gypsum board, and plywood. Impermeable to air, moisture vapor, and water. Easy-to-install peel and stick application, no flame required. Factory controlled thickness. Membrane is self-sealing when penetrated with self-tapping screws or nails. Uses include: Concealed self-adhered air and vapor barrier membrane and protection against rain and moisture penetration. Commonly used to prevent drafts and provide a weathertight seal around windows and doors, joints in sheathing, sealing around skylights, and as a flashing in residential construction. 35 mil. thickness.
